"THE FARM"






XL Arabians was first started in 1998 with the first purchase, the mare Pros Mirage. After the purchase of our first mare the farm quickly grew. We raise between 1-5 foals per year. We specifically breed our mares to produce offspring that excel in more than one disciple. We feel at this farm that our horses must be able to halter and then to later have a performance career. We cherish the Arabian breed for its versatility and ability to do well in many disciplines. Our broodmares are all broke to ride and are "kid safe" they all can stand up as a halter horse, they can be easily caught and they can be ridden in the ring. We appreciate these qualities and will continue breeding the all around Arabian.

XL Arabians is located in the central part of Iowa on a small 10 acre farm. We have an outdoor arena, a 6 stall barn, and many outside pastures for the mares. This small farm makes it perfect for raising foals. Our foals are handled daily and learn to trust humans, pick up feet, accept shots and worming. Our stalled horses are turned out on a daily basis to just "be horses." We hope to someday grow into a bigger farm, more acres and more stalls. But until then, we're pleased with what we do have.
